Our mission is to provide transitional housing for broken, bruised and battered
women and their children who need help and new direction in their lives. The
residents' needs may vary from families being torn by substance abuse, and those
in dire financial trouble due to loss of employment or victims of domestic
violence. Regardless of the need or race, Harbour House is committed to
helping those who need somewhere to go and are seeking to change their lives.

Working cooperatively with Granville Medical
Center Domestic Violence, Department of Social Servicies,Granville County
Law Enforcement, community agencies, and churches. Harbour House
is a non-profit organization supported by a network of dedicated volunteers
and counselors. Proceeds from Harbour House Thrift Store and community
donations are used to support the women and men’s shelters.

Harbour House Ministries provides housing for women and children in need.
The duration of housing is 1 - 12 months as warranted by individual assessment.
Dediciated counselors work with residents to develop stability, structure and
self-esteem. Though our primary mission is to serve the residents of Granville
Gounty, we have also provided services for women and children from Vance,
Warren, Wake, Durham and Nash counties.
