Our mission is to reach out to men who are struggling with life-controlling problems
such as drug and alcohol addiction. The program is offered to pre- and post-
incarcerated men as well as those currently living in the community. We also
provide clothing and job training.

Harbour House Transitional Home for Men began operation in July 2005 as a
501C-3 non-profit organization. The work is done by dedicated volunteers and
counselors overseeing the program. We work cooperatively with Mental Health,
Department of Social Services, Law Enforcement, the Courts, and other agencies
and departments along with churches and individuals to achieve our mission.
Donations to support our programs are welcome.

The ministry provides housing and a 12-month mentoring program for up to 6 men
at a time. Applicants must be interviewed and be over the age of 18 before being
accepted into the program. Those who chose not to pursue the 12-month
mentoring program receive emergency services until they can be referred to
another appropriate community program. Dedicated counselors work with the
residents to help bring stability, structure and self-esteem into their lives.
Though our primary purpose is to serve residents of Granville County, we
strive to provide services for all in need.
